Machining for Aluminum Die Cast Components

After aluminum die casting, additional machining is often needed to achieve tighter tolerances and complex features. CNC milling shapes detailed designs on flat surfaces, while CNC turning creates precise cylindrical parts like shafts. Grinding provides smooth, high-tolerance finishes. Boring accurately enlarges holes, and drilling makes initial holes for further processing. Tapping adds internal threads for assembly, and reaming refines hole dimensions. These processes enhance the precision and functionality of die-cast parts for various applications.

Finishing for Aluminum Die Cast Parts

After die casting, aluminum parts undergo various finishing processes to enhance their appearance, durability, and functionality. Fettling and linishing remove excess materials and smooth the surface, prepping the part for additional treatments. Polishing adds shine and improves aesthetics, while shot blasting cleans surfaces and shot peening increases durability. Heat treatment strengthens the parts, making them more robust. Powder coating and painting provide protection and a wide range of colors. Anodizing increases corrosion resistance and allows for color customization. Plating adds a protective metal layer for enhanced hardness and corrosion resistance.
